Dhaka, August 25, 2018 — The Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation successfully organized the 1st Cantonment School and College Taekwondo Championship 2018 on August 24–25, 2018 at the National Sports Council, Dhaka, marking a milestone in the nation’s effort to promote martial arts among youth in the military academic institutions.
The two-day event brought together student-athletes from various cantonment schools and colleges across the country to compete in a series of spirited and disciplined Taekwondo matches. The tournament not only showcased technical excellence but also emphasized the core values of the sport: respect, perseverance, and integrity.
Md. Saifullah Kabir Nahid served as an esteemed Tournament Judge. Mr. Nahid, a former national player and coach, is widely recognized for his pioneering role in introducing Taekwondo to schools and colleges, especially within the cantonment education system. As a proud alumnus of Adamjee Cantonment College, his presence held deep symbolic and inspirational value for all attendees.
Special guests at the event included the principals of various cantonment schools and colleges, who lent their support and encouragement to the students. Their participation underlined the increasing institutional support for martial arts education in Bangladesh.

Watching young students from cantonment institutions compete with discipline and passion reflects how far we have come in spreading Taekwondo at the grassroots level.
